Questions
What is Integrative and Functional Nutrition?
The Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy defines it as “a systems-based approach to evaluate the many interacting factors that promote health or disease.” Yes, you have symptoms but what is causing them? We’ll find out through a comprehensive assessment of the many aspects in your life, whether it is food choices, environment, biology, or genetics. Then, I’ll design a personalized treatment plan tailored for your unique needs and lifestyle that supports the highest well-being for you.
Who are your clients?
Women of all ages (16+) who are seeking real answers to their symptoms—not bandaids. You may have been diagnosed with a chronic disease or autoimmune disorder and need help navigating ways to feel better. Perhaps you prefer an approach that is natural and works with your body’s healing power rather than costly prescriptions with bothersome side effects.
Do you work with children?
I do have experience in pediatrics but am not focused on offering care for children right now. To find a nutritionist specializing in children, I recommend you go to eatright.org and click on the red button “Find a Nutrition Expert” in the upper right corner of the home page.
When will I see results?
That is going to depend on the complexity of your situation and whether you need functional lab testing or genetic testing, which can take a few weeks. It also depends on what your current lifestyle is like and how well you can anchor in my suggested strategies. Some may see results quickly while others may have a longer journey with me.
Telehealth & Technology
How does telehealth work?
All telehealth sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform through Practice Better. You'll receive a link before each session. No app download required — just a browser and a private space.
What is Practice Better?
Practice Better is my Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform. It handles scheduling, secure messaging, intake forms, and the client portal. All your health information is stored securely and in compliance with HIPAA.
What do I need for a telehealth session?
A device with a camera and microphone (laptop, tablet, or phone), a stable internet connection, and a private, quiet space for the duration of your session.
Insurance & Payment
Do you accept insurance?
I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a detailed superbill (itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients are partially or fully reimbursed.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
I keep a small number of reduced-fee spots for clients who need it. Please reach out to inquire — I want to make care accessible.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit/debit cards, checks and cash. Payment is processed securely through Practice Better.
HIPAA & Privacy
How is my health information protected?
All client information is handled in accordance with HIPAA regulations. I use HIPAA-compliant tools for scheduling, communication, and record-keeping. Your data is never sold or shared without your explicit written consent.
Can I contact you securely?
Yes. Existing clients should use the Practice Better secure messaging system. For initial inquiries, the contact form on this site uses secure submission. Please do not send sensitive health information via standard email.
